game demos...

Ugh, why do game demos have to be so HUGE!

Presently downloading the demo for dungeon siege 2. It comes in at a hefty 1.4 gigs!!!!!

 

Still downloading, ugh, I hate bandwith limiters. No way am I going to shell out money for a fatter pipe. Though, I am using cable a 4mb/s, though, I hear that comcast is upgrading to 6 mb/s on the low side and the gold package will be increased to 8 mb/s.

I guess you can say it is a whine. 3 hours into the download, 1 hour left.

 

I dled it in about 40mins (1,000kb/s) xfer speed. Optimum/Light speed in NY

Thanks. I typically pick random mirrors instead of the same ones hoping that I can get a better download rate. Doesn't really matter anyway, since I now have it.
