Nothing that a little bit of reading about the best settings for your hardware are and some registry hacks couldnt fix!



so things off the top of my head once I read there blurb.....

1. Set PageFile/VM to a fixed size ( less fragmentation ), check the re-fresh rate and set to at least 75mhz *the gamers on MGs will add to this I'm sure*,

and

tend to contradict themselfs a bit... how can you be fault tolerant and overclock which is going past manufacturers set default standards, it then becomes less fault tolerant!

search the net and tweaking sites ( you are at one NOW with a gaming forum, ask away the gamers here should be able to help you out ) for users best settings for hardware or software, their are many gamers out there who have there PCs tweaked for max performance.

3. Get all updates for OS and all updated drivers.

4. Overclocking which is mentioned... Nvidia and AFAIK ATi drivers can be set to do this, in the case of Nvidia use the Coolbits registry hack.



to be honest I would rather tweak my pc myself as I then know whats been done and for what reason, depending on OS you will find much info on tweaking it for maximum performance....


if you want to spend some cash and make it easy by haing a program do the work, then OK.. I wont say thats wrong BUT its just no fun and you will learn much by tweaking your own PC
