    Hi,

I had bought a Scholastic game pack for my daughter. I have installed 3 of the four games. The three that are installed work perfect. My problem is with the fourth game. It is called logic I spy junior. Everytime I install the game and try to start it for my daughter I get the error messege: "Projector skeleton has encountered a problem and needs to close". I have tried everything I know to try to get this installed. I think I am missing something on my computer but I am not sure. I have went to the help files on the CD and I have not found any answers on there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm had to ask the obvious firstly, this is strange as you obviously far exceed the stated requirements. It could be something to do with either your Video Card and or ver of DirectX that is currently installed? I'm not sure and hopefully someone else can provide some greater insight.

You might try to put a different cd drive in her computer just in case the other one is acting up.
also did you check the disk and see if there is any scratches or smudges?
The game just may have issues with xp.

Try using Compatability mode on the program. Find the shortcut to Logic I Spy Junior. Right-click it and choose Properties. Click on the Compatability tab.

Under "Compatability mode" check the box next to "Run this program in compatability mode for". In the drop-down menu, select "Windows 98/ME". Click OK. Now try running the program.

If that doesn't help or the display is strange, go back into the Compatability tab on the shortcut. This time, under "Display settings" check all three boxes (Run in 256 colors, Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution, Disable visual themes). Click OK, and run the program again.

    Hi
I tried what da chicken said i can install and play when using the compatability wizard. Before I finish the compatability wizard I check to keep the setting for the game and then click finish. I then try to play the game again and I get the same error messege. I cannot and do not have the time to uninstall and reinstall with compatability wizard every time my daughter wants to play it. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank You

Anytime I'm glad someone could help it is ridiculous to pay some tech $50 an hour for something like this and it seems it was a self resolving issue anyway.

I found an added solution to the problem. I have Windows Vista, but was experiencing the same problems (Projector Skeleton error). The I Spy Junior CD has two different .exe files in its root directory. I did the comatibilty fix, along with forcing screen sizes and resolutions, and then pointed my desktop shorcut to load the other .exe file. I think it is the 16bit version.

    Good Luck.
