Game troubles...

When I play just about any game on my computer, the computer either freezes completely (on games like URU and Mysterious Journey 2) or it loads completely and then quits to the desktop (the Sims).
I have Windows XP with service pack 1, an AMD Athlon XP 3200 processor, an nVidia Geforce4 MX 4000 video card with 128 MB memory.
As far as I know, these games should be able to run on my computer. If anyone has any idea why I might be having these problems or how to fix this, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

i would first try to defrag your harddisk

and 2nd update your videocard drivers http://www.nvidia.com/page/home.html

and 3rd make sure you dont have any spyware running

 

How would defraging the hdd help? Jw.

I don't think it is spyware because I have tried playing the games when only the hardware drivers and games were installed and it still did the same thing, but I could be wrong.
