I'm using the G15 from Logitech. It works as advertised and people are writing applets to add extra functionality to the LCD display. It's a big wide man-sized keyboard with backlit keys and I love mine. There's plenty of programmability. Here's the link.
I bought mine for $89.95CDN at a local computer store, here in southern Ontario.:)

I bought the g15 keyboard from newegg.com and saved a good 30dollars. I LOVE this keyboard. It's so customizable and it has nice backlights. If you play games they are adding tools to make it display on the panel stuff related to the game. For instance, EverQuest 2 they have a parser that displays your dps etc. I don't know the saitek one. But I personally recommend the g15. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16823126179

There's a link from newegg. It's cheaper there than buying it directly from logitech's website

    Hi Littlejohn1959
You asked about the AMD applet so I downloaded it and tried it. So....
After Running the AMD LCD Keyboard Applet installation, run the Logitech G-Series Keyboard Profiler. From the menu bar select Settings and choose LCD Control Panel...
The Logitech G-series LCD Manager pops up displaying the Programs tab.
In the frame you'll see a list of installed applets. You should see the AMD CPU and System Information LCD Display. Make sure the checkbox is ticked for "Enable" and that the Status is "Running". To make this happen automatically, mouse-click on "AMD CPU and System Information LCD Display" then click on the properties button. The applet program details are displayed and you should ensure that there is a tick in the checkbox next to "Program is started by LCD". Click OK. The default behavior for the LCD display panel is a scrolling through the list of installed applets. I personally find this annoying. So back on the LCD Manager pop-up choose the LCD Settings tab. Click to select the radio-button "Manual - Use LCD Controls to Switch". There - that's much better. The control button is the little round black button at the upper left of the multi-media controls. Each press of this button brings up the next applet. When you see "AMD CPU and System Information LCD Display" on your LCD screen, stop pressing. In about 2 seconds the AMD applet displays it's Logo page. You'll notice 2 little triangles beneath the AMD Logo. They are meant to represent forward and backward arrows. Notice also, how they conveniently align just above 2 of the 4 black rectangular buttons. You guessed it. Pressing these 2 black buttons cycles through the 3 pages of AMD's "information" applet. Enjoy:)

Run the Logitech G-Series Keyboard Profiler and you will see the name of your current profile.( might be called default) If you click the down arrow next to this profile name, it will expose the entire list of profiles on your machine. Isn't "Call of Duty" listed for you? It is supposed to be one of the "included profiles". If it isn't there, you can program all the G15 keys yourself, in any fashion you decide. The entire list of keys that Call of Duty uses is detailed in the CoD instruction manual. Alternatively, you could go to the setup screen in CoD and write down the key assignments and then program your G15 later. If you do program the G15 with a Call of Duty profile, be sure to open the File menu and Export profile - this saves it as an LGP file to a place of your choosing. Then later, double-clicking on the profile file will automatically load it into The Keyboard Profiler program for easy editing and running.:)

I bought this keyboard as part of a system I just bought. It worked great, plug and play almost and I love it. It automatically found the game I play, World of Warcraft, and I thought it did that for all supported games. I think their link page shows what games these are under help Internet.
Anyway I also wanted to use the applet mentioned above, and no matter how many buttons I pushed or didn't push it did not appear in window. I had done the things that were mentioned to and did not see the applet listed. So I thought I had to put in same directory so uninstalled and reinstalled hoping to direct it the right area. Long story shortened, after 2nd install the logo shortcut appeared on desktop and I tried to open it but nothing appeared and still nothing showed up in my window on kb, I kind of gave up for the night logged off and came to these boards the next morning and read the info from prometheos, and low and behold the amd lcd was now in my list, I had already checked the force button and so I again hit the round button and it appeared on screen as if by magic. So I thought maybe after reinstall a restart was in order and that is why it showed up in the morning.
Also I was trying to run while in the game so it may not work while in game, have not yet logged in to see if that was also the case.
But it was very helpful and informative , now if I just knew what to do with all the info I see on the screen I be laughing :)
