    hi everyone
so i just bought a new laptop and a gamepad probably 7-8 days ago...i installed the driver for the gamepad and everything was working fine until today...when i plugged in the gamepad it said-one of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned,or it does work but only for a few minutes, mostly stops working when i start a game...
what do you think is the problem?

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

The first thing I'd do is go to the gamepad mfr.'s web site and see if an updated driver is available.

If this does not fix things, it sounds like it may be a hardware issue. If this is the case, I would return it for a replacement or a different brand/model.

    Hope this helps.

Based on the "one of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned" message, I suspect it is an intermittent hardware problem.

Since it's only a few days old, I'd return it.
