Just installed a new mb gigabyte ga7n400el and a gigabyte ati 9600pro vid card, used my amd2400 and 1024 of apacer ram and reinstalled windows, reactivated and started to put games back on. I am trying to put raven sheild and battlefield 1942 on and when I go to play the game after putting in the cd it says it can't find it? Both game are doing the same thing. I uninstalled them both and installed them again and the same thing happens. Turned avg off and still the same. I tried the game combat flight simulator and it works fine. Also when I reboot I get an error which says..markfun-load-nt-driver? Any one have any Ideas....thanks

Do you have Alcohol 120%, CloneCD, Daemon Tools, or some other virtual CD or CD copying program installed? Some newer copy protection schemes look for those programs and don't let you run the games as long as they're installed. Also, try patching the games first... game companies often remove copy protection this strong when they find out how many honest customers get annoyed when the copy protection randomly blocks them from playing the game they just paid for.

The "markfun_load_nt_driver" error seems to be related to your chipset drivers.

not running any programs you mentioned... Just installed medal of honor and works fine....kinda weird..one works and the other one does'nt...tried the patch on ravensheild but since its oem I don't think they support it..still got me dumbfounded

well with your help I got it figured out. Gigabyte has a overclocking utility easytune that is where the error was from, and since I uninstalled it the games I could not put on are now playing just fine...strange is'nt it. Thank you very much

Heh. I just google'ed the error message you got, and got a whole bunch of discussions on Gigabyte mobos and people saying to update... but it wasn't clear exactly what they were talking about.

Glad everything worked out for you!

The "markfun" error doesn't happen if Network adapters are disabled when booting up. Use the "easytune" option to update drivers and this will also give you the option to UNBLOCK EASYTUNE IN WINDOWS FIREWALL.

    1. Click on Gigabyte's Easytune icon at the bottom right hand of the screen.
    2. On the Easytune console, click on the "live update" button.
    3. Windows firewall will ask if you want to unblock this program. UNBLOCK.
    4. Update the Easytune program.

    Regards,
    ;)
