    Hiya Yet Again ...

Well NOW it looks like they WON'T refund my system without charging me $200 (shipping both ways) so I'm stuck with it. I have had the WORST experience with CYBERPOWRINC.COM ...they are very VERY rude and their service SUX!! I even had a tech say that I was too STUPID to be choosing parts so I shouldn't have come there!! Can you believe that?? So I have to send the system back and they will upgrade the motherboard but that's it. I'm fighting them big time on this. I HATE THIS!! They won't upgrade anything else ...even though I offered to pay the difference. GRRR :(

Anyway before I WASTE anymore money ...I need to be SURE that I will get the result I want.

My games run SLOOOW and Lag and stick ...sometimes freezing all together. What would change that?? What would make it run smoother and faster?? A new video card OR more memory and higher processor??

I want to get the Geforce 6800 GT but I need to be sure it will make a difference. It's soooooooooooo EXPENSIVE!! WHERE is a good place to buy one??? What's the lowest price out there for them??

Again thanks SOOO very much for all the AWESOME help you've given me!! I'd be totally screwed if I didn't gain the knowledge I have from you guys. THANKS!! :)

Big Hugs! Here are my specs as of now ....

EnchantedDreams, your system specifications are pretty good, but it's severely let down by your current video card.

The only good thing about a GeForce FX5200 is that it supports DirectX 9, but it's meant as a budget card and not suitable for any serious gaming or graphic intensive tasks.

A GeForce 6800GT would be great, but in my opinion I think that the ATI Radeon X800 Pro is almost as fast (Faster at some resolutions) and priced much better.

Also, most NVidia 6800 GT chipset cards are a double slot size, can run hot and can be noisy.

Radeon's in general don't suffer this affliction.

    Hi,

I don't believe you need to change that mobo or am I missing something here. I did not check all the specs of your current board and I am assuming by the cpu you have that it should be good enough.

I am not a big time gamer and I do understand that you need a better video card but I can't see any advantage to changing the mobo unless there is something wrong with it. I would consider saving the 200 bucks and purchasing a better video card and installing it your self with help from us.

The ram you have should be plenty for playing games.
