Games Vista and Win 7

    Should games for Vista play on Win 7 pro as well as Vista or not.

    Thats a pretty vague question but in general anything designed for Vista shold work on Win 7, to that fact almost anything built for XP should run on Win7.

    Agreed on the Vista part, if it worked there it will work on 7. As for WinXP, that gets trickier.

    When I install games that were made for XP to my Win7 computer, I run them as Administrator, and always in WinXP SP2 mode. I'm sure not all of them need it, but it eliminates a lot of potential for issues. I also always set the launcher and main exe of the game to run as Administrator and in compatibility mode.

    As well as the above info, always check for updates to the game (as in patches) that may cover compatability with newer Windows versions.
