I've loaded BF2 and 1942 on a new but used system with a freshly loaded xp home edition and on autorun, I press play and I get a message "Please make sure cd is installed". I had no problem loading both games (which are purchased games with good keys) but will not play either. I can play DVDs with no problem, I can play music and video no problem but it wont play any games. I reloaded XP and both games again and now, 1942 will start and on the into screen where it says " EA GAMES" it starts to glitch then freezes up. But BF2, same thing, Please make sure cd is installed! Now before this new system, I had a DELL Dimension 4300 P4 1.6Ghz 512 SD RAM with the 5900FX video card installed and I was able to play no problem but the board only supported 512 SD RAM and in battle I would glitch pretty bad so I wanted to try this system. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem where the game would not launch and a new 500 watt power supply and updated nvidia drivers cleared up everything.

How much memory does your video card have?
Usually 256 megs or more helps with game performance besides updated drivers.
