    Greetings, minikoop...

Quick questions: did you follow the steps suggested by chaslang? If so, what were the results?

Are u referring to the "final steps"? If so yes, but I don't know what u r asking for when u ask what the results were. Are u looking for a file? Sorry not trying to b difficult, just trying to understand. My computer does seem a little better but still runs very slow and sounds like a plane taking off ;)

    Good morning...

I was referring to chaslang's suggestions concerning the following:

Have you tried disabling/uninstalling any of those programs, and if so, what were the results?

Avira & Comodo I just installed after reading through the mg forum, which was after the issue started. A defrag has also been done with no change. As for this

    " O23 - Service: McciCMService- Alcatel-Lucent - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Motive\McciCMService.exe O23 - Service: RoxMediaDB12- Sonic Solutions- C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared\12.0\SharedCOM\RoxMediaDB12.exe O23 - Service: Roxio Hard DriveWatcher12(RoxWatch12)- Sonic Solutions -C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared\12.0\SharedCOM\RoxWatch12.exe"

I have no idea what to do.

Try this: boot into Safe Mode, put your machine through some paces and see if it speeds up noticeably. If so, then some 3rd-party software is causing the problem, and you can start selectively disabling and/or uninstalling to find the culprit(s).

    You must go to

    Start
    Run msconfig
    Navigate to Strartup tab
    disable boxes except for antivirus
    Apply
    Ok
windows told you about reboot your machine
    do it

after this process , add a programme at a time to see what is the problem !! :wave
