Gaming problems

I had Sims 3 installed in my computer and I had to uninstall it and reinstall it due to getting carried away with custom downloads. When I go to reinstall it I get an error message with a blue screen that says something like ???_??_not_less_or_equal and if that message dont come up the whole comp freezes and I cant do anything but a hard reboot to get it to run. I am confused on what is wrong because the comp works fine it is a brand new comp and I have checked for viruses and everything is updated so I dont know what to do or what is wrong because the game was on here and I deleted only the game. Please help

 

If you get a blue screen again note the error code at the bottom which will look like the following. 0x00000050
post the first one listed.

You can also check your event log for this error. Go to control panel - administrative tools - event viewer. Under "system" check for errors with a red "x".

 

did you run the unistaller? or just delete the folder? make sure you used windows add/remove programs.

 

I haven't played the sims 3 game. And don't know much about it. But it may help if you:

Click RUN, in the start menu Then Type in there. sfc /scannow
Together just like that.
Then it should pop up and scan your computer for problems. Normally a person would only run this for a windows problem, but there is exceptions.
It could, or could not pop up wanting you to put in your windows disk, if it says it needs it, go ahead and do it. Something different may pop up wanting you to install windows again. Just close that down and let "sfc /scannow" run. It should restore any missing or miss placed windows files. Then try to install your sims game.

Cause when the sims 2 on my computer was uninstalled it took a main windows from my computer, to where it wouldn't install. And the sims 2 and 3 is basically almost the same game, just 3 is got better graphics and sims.

But it also could be some of the custom downloads put on your computer. Most of them are okish to use on a computer, then there is some. Where because of the "random" people that make them on the internet. And it depends where they are and you get them. But very few of the custom downloads are made to incript its self on your computer.

Normal Situation = Game is uninstalled, the custom downloads are gone.

with few = Game is uninstalled, but one maybe two of the custom downloads incripted it self.

Those kind remind me a lot of viruses they stay there. And there a pain to get off. They don't show up in "add/remove programs" Nor on any Virus scanner I've used. There basically invisible, but their there. You have to go into the basic files of you computer and look at it, if you see a unknown file, search on a Microsoft, or apple. Website and look to see if it is one that's not suppose to be there. It worked for me, won't hurt trying. Good luck.

Then when or if you get your sims game back up and working. The sight I suggest to use is "www.thesimsresource.com" Its got a lot of Approved custom downloads by EA games. And more unlikely you won't find a bad on there. Unless it links to another sight. I don't use those, and I don't recommend them. But you can try if you want. You could also look at the "www.sims2.com" And it will link you to a few. Unless the've changed it.
