Gaming Utilities! What is there and whats good?

What are some must have Gaming Utilities that increase performance and are perfectly safe for your computer and identity. Software and Freeware Utilities that are commonly used for high end gaming?:major

I got a new PC its a vista.

anything from cleaners, to tweakers.

I'm planing on playing Aion :Tower of Eternity.

 

Hey D_C, you could create your own batchfile tailored to your own PC

Example, here is how you would kill Windows Search and Windows Defender for the current session only:- Start > Run > "cmd" - Enter (say ok to the annoying UAC run as Admin prompt), and type each of these in with an Enter after each.

SC STOP WSEARCH
SC STOP WINDEFEND

This can be turned into a batch file using Notepad (game.bat?) and you could add many commands to disable different, non-vital services. Just double-click the .bat file to disable the services befrore you play, when you reboot, all will return to normal.

There's a similar topic here (for XP) using the Net Stop command - careful, the one listed is ONLY for gaming offline .
