garbled text

I got this virus a couple days ago

Trojan.ByteVerify virus

It didnt automattically popup it showed up under a full system scan but, anyway now my text in certain web pages is almost unreadable! it does this on most web pages!
Reading on Symantecs web site about this virus I followed all instruction on how to remove and 2nd full system scan showed nothing but text issues still remain

Did you find anything else out from Symantec? I'm not 100% positive about this, but it might be some sort of font corruption. I've seen it happen to a friend before. His Tomaha font appeared twice in his fonts folder in windows, which should be impossible, but he sent me a screen shot, and sure enough... there were two font files with the same name, same extention. Might be worth checking in to.

robo that won't work with xp. Mr Gates wanted a different way to repair IE in xp.

To repair xp try these>

Start/Run/regsvr32 urlmon.dll

OR

To reinstall IE
Start/run/rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 c:\windows\inf\ie.inf

OR

Microsoft

tricemierius if you are using a msstyle try a different one before trying a repair.

That link you gave me to MS is such fine print I cant even read it!
what is msstyle?

regsvr32 not found on the 1st one
installHinf section not found on 2nd one

Am I stuck with this do I have to do a fresh install again?

You might try restoring from a restore point.

Do you have a mouse with a wheel? ( no i'm not going mad this time )

If so just hold down CTRL and move the wheel up and down until you are happy with the Text Size

if you dont have a Mouse with wheel then goto View > Text Size and click medium ( which is the default size )
