Gateway 2500

I have an old Gateway 2500 laptop at home that was given to me to use as spare parts. I would have like to get it running so I could have an extra laptop at home to just play around with. I heard everything power up when I turned it on, but the screen doesn't come on. I don't even know if the speakers work because I didn't hear the system beep on startup. Can someone diagnose the problem for me. I have even tried attaching an external monitor to the video port and nothing happens. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

You might want to check and see if the memory was removed prior to you getting it. ed
