Gateway 5707gr won't power uo

    My gateway 507gr won't power up. Nothing goes on fans etc. When I remove the cord from the power connector the fan spins for a few seconds and the light below the power connect goes on and then blinks The light is not on when the cord is in the power connector. I have removed the power cord and held in the front power button for 30 seconds to drain the mobo , but that did not help. Any ideas?
