Cx210x display went dead and I thought it was the embedded ATI video chip (due to a prior failure when under warranty). Bought a new MB, installed...but no change.
Spoke with repair shop and they thought it might be inverter. Bought new one and replaced - no change.
They then thought it might be the fluorescent tube and suggested buying a new display assembly. Did that - no change.

I am at wits end as I have effectively rebuilt the computer, yet the LCD still doesn't work. The video chip is working as I have an external monitor connected and working fine.

    Suggestions???:confused

It is a notebook/tablet, correct? Perhaps the cable connecting the monitor to the motherboard needs to be replaced. It could have been stressed if you twisted it around a lot to use as a tablet.
I never took a laptop apart. Does the screen have caps? If so, check the caps on it.
