I have a Gateway E4300 that I purchased off ebay. After a fresh install of XP pro SP3,the latest 915G chipset drivers from Intel {installed first} and the latest drivers for the rest of the hardware,I discovered that the Maxtor 160gb,SATA hard drive, the new LG SATA dvd burner and the ide dvd player were all operating at UDMA 2.The hard drive should be at UDMA 5 and I think the dvd burner should be that too. There are no obvious issues that I can find. All is normal in Device Manager.I don't see any adjustments in the bios either.Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.THANKS.Sean.
