    I have done the following.

    (1) Removed battery and AC adapter and pressed power button for over minute. Tried the battery again & AC adapter (both separate of each other) but still nothing.
    (2) Removed hard drive, memory card, DVD drive and powered up but didn't hear any beeps (someone told me that I should) could be motherboard?

When I turn power on hard drive light flashes once or twice and it sounds like it's running for few seconds then clicks and power goes off to laptop.

    Thanks for any help :confused

    Hi

If you press down and hold F2 at boot does the laptop enter the BIOS or beep at all?

You have tried most of the first fix things I would have suggested already, one general generic reset is to take all USB devices, battery, AC power out and hold down the power button for 1 minute, then let go and pop the battery and/or AC back in and see if it powers up.

Do bare in mind this is a generic option and doesnt work for all laptops, but worth a go.

No bios or beep with F2. Power comes on, hard drive light blips maybe twice and then click from hard drive and laptop shuts off. I had already tried the other step you suggested but no difference.

    HI

Do CPU cooling fan sound or feel as if its coming on at boot?
How clean are the air vents?

Just thinking if CPU is getting hot seriously quickly they generally failsafe themselves and turn off.

Can you take out the HDD and slave it to another PC, just to check its not failed or failing?

Cooling fan was working, used some compressed air, not much dirt, the IT guy at my work will check out the HDD.
