I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem with a gateway. Basically what happened was I got a blue screen and tried to turn off the laptop using the power button which didn't work. The power button is set to sleep the computer which may have been the problem so I removed the power cord and battery to shut it down. When I put everything back in the laptop wouldn't boot. The battery indicator light was solid red at first but then changed to solid blue after. When I remove the adapter the light goes out. I tried the whole remove the battery and hold down the power button trick but that didn't work either. I called Gateway but after they suggested the power drain they simply told me to mail it in. Everything worked fine before so I wanted to see if anyone had a similar issue or an idea to fix it other than send it in. Thanks in advance!
