Gateway ZX6971 Touch

    I recently replace the HDD in a Gateway All in One ZX6971. I restored the OS using the recovery disk created by Best Buy at the time of purchase. Since then the touchscreen no longer works. I also noticed that "Pen and Touch" was missing from the Control Panel. I fixed this in the registry, but the touch screen still doesn't work.

    After some Googling, I found many people suggesting that it's a display driver issue. The device manager shows at Intel Video Card, but Gateways website lists in at an nVidia.

    For giggles I tried installing the nVidia drivers, but it wouldn't allow me. I also tried the Intel Driver Update utility. The utility reported that I was using a custom Intel driver from the manufacturer and couldn't be updated.

    Any ideas?
