I bought a Gigabyte 945P-Pro motherboard, Aware BIOS (F8). I attached my new 250 GB sata drive with no problems. This motherboard also has IDE 1, 2 and 3 connectors. On IDE 1 I connected my DVD drive. It works and shows up on the BIOS with no problems. I have two older hard drives (80 and 120 GB) that I want to hook up to one of the remaining IDE ports (IDE 2 or 3), not as RAID, just as separate drives. The other 2 IDE ports (2 and 3) do not show up in the BIOS setup. I can plug the HD's in but they will not show up. It looks like something else is needed in the BIOS setup. I have been messing with the RAID setups and I can get one of the 2 drives to show as a slave drive, but during the bootup is does an "IDE scan", whatever that may be. The SATA drive shows up as IDE channel 0 or 1 depending on what I have tried in the BIOS setup. I am confused and the Gigabyte website is not very helpfull. This has somehting to with setting up the GigaRaid controller in someway or another, but I am not getting there.

    Anyone?
