Just out of pure curiosity, how many GBs do you usually keep on you? I never need more than 1 for the time being.

    Hi

Really depends what I'm doing as I also have USB HDDs so one of them can hold 400GB, but I guess on a daily basis I have 6GB on two USB Pens, one is full of 3GB of music for the car and some data capture software for downloading the cars data on my poor driving!

and other has around similar 3Gb full of portable apps and some of my work data thats none sensitive.

oh and if we count an iPhone as it is USB, then another 3GB of music, apps and data.

    Re: Gigabytes on portable USB's?

Usually carry around a 10 gig Astone USB Micro-drive that I purchased ages ago when USB stick were really small in capacity in comparison. I keep a copy of all my current downloads on it, in case I need them to help someone out. I also backup some of my more important notes, spreadsheets, useful utilities and other useful stuff etc., to it as an additional safety measure.

Those are cool, I would need slightly more space though. I have a 2GB encrypted stick for work and a 4GB bootable drive with BartPE for troubleshooting.

Actually, reminds me of something dumb I did.

We had an engineer come in to the hospital to do some work on one of our PACS (digital medical imaging) workstations. I booted the machine off a CD and not realising the latest version of Ghost will recognise USB drives but not the RAID drive, I promptly reimaged the engineers 120GB portable USB drive!

Hm... I have 8GB music on the Fuze that goes with me everywhere. Then I have a 4GB USB drive, a 2GB drive, a 256MB drive (that I never use) right in front of me. I have one 2GB drive with current downloads and generally useful apps and stuff on my key chain for when I need to help people out with computer stuff, and another 2GB with the same files on it travels in my coat pocket.
