G'day - jeireed was my problem!

Hi im Huntin, i'm from australia, i received tv media / jeireed / some other variant of this malware somehow. i got reports of 3 jeireed popping up in spybot, i've run countless other programs, and made very careful search of my registry under the run, run-, runonce, runonce- and basically everything that runs programs on startup, combing for traces of it. i'm a relative newbie to malware, i don't know how to make the "Hijack This" program work properly, although CWShredder is simple (i wish that was my problem eh)

the symptom i am no longer recieving which i was before, is that every single program i had to find spyware was running much slower than it should. i believe the jeireed / tv media strain of adware is responsible, im running win98 so i couldn't (/ still can't) see certain programs in task manager.

if anyone can help me with some form of list of programs in task manager it might make my task of rooting out one particular program much easier.. i think my registery editor program is useful in that i can find specific strings, .. of which the jeireed strand does not change so if anyone can give me a list of programs that are running, which gives the programs ctrl alt delete misses, it would be appreciated. (this is for win98 remember).. lots of happiness to you because jeireed appears to have left me alone, at least for now.

 

wow asking another question - how do you link / unlink dlls using regsvr? i tried it kept getting error like i was writing something down wrong.

what i was trying
regsvr32 /u c:\windows\profiles\downstairs\application data\tvmknwrd.dll
(in run for win98) if you have a quick solution why this particular phrase didn't work i'd Love to hear it, in addition to a "no hidden programs" task manager for win98
