im 15, and starting to consider what to do with my life, but im having some trouble deciding, ive already ruled out computer programmer cause im shit at math, but ive been such a big geek all of my ife, i feel like i should do it for a living?, anyways so far ill ive really come up with is sfx and 3d modleing and such but i know thers thousands more aout ther so any help would be appreciated

 

Build computers. You can start now but probably is not the best long term job. You can also help people out part time. Like helping start a computer or help with virus problems for people who dont know what there doing.

 

Don't sell yourself short. Einstein, one of the 20th century's greatest minds, had others do his calculations because of his less than stellar math abilities. With calculators and computers to do math, it's not as big an issue as you think. SFX and 3D modeling have a heavy math component, also. If you want something bad enough, you will do what is necessary to get it.

 

Are you looking for something to jump into right now and build on as you become older and move onto school...or are you looking at what you want to do as far as going to college and studying for a career????

Either way...right now...I would do like Tourangh said!!!! You would be amazed how many people out there need help with troubleshooting their computers...whether it be hardware/software or viruses and spyware!!!! And that is also something you can do on the side while you go to school with your own hours!!!! Who know...you might find that as your thing and it explodes into a full time job you love!!! I still recommend getting a degree though...you'll regret it later if you don't!!!!

As far as going to school for something...if you like to design...then you could get into the designing of the actual physical pieces/components of the computer!!!! That would be a combination of science and phyisical design!!!!
