Lots of Americans here. Therefore lots of right-wing nutjobs ;) who like firearms :guns (it's a statistics thing) :-D . As I'm a left-wing nutjob :heli who likes firearms (no, that's not a contradiction, contrary whatever propaganda you might have heard ;) ), I'm hopefully in good company :wave , and maybe someone can help :confused ?

I'm looking for a spotting scope that will display what it sees (the target) on a computer screen. I plan to display the image of the target on my laptop, and mark off the existing shots on some sort of digital overlay so that I always know exactly where my last shot landed (it being the one that's not marked). Not always having access to an experienced spotter, I'm not great at locating the "latest" shot in a crowded target, something I need to do in order to correct my shooting.

System (scope/digital attachment) should allow me to display a 4 inch target at 1000 yards on a 15" screen, and allow video recording on target computer. Scope could be the rifle target scope, or (much more likely) a separate spotter scope.

Anyone know of anything I should be aware of to do this? I'm not having much luck finding anything. Found something in China - but alibaba.cn doesn't deliver to Canada...

ps: first paragraph was typed with tongue firmly in cheek, hopefully denoted by the overwhelming number of smilies used. If you needed to read this, or took offence, I'm really sorry about your loss. A sense of humour is so hard to find again.

:-D "sorry about your loss", he says.

that looks awesome. i love shooting guns, its a lot of fun. doing some long range sniper style shooting would be great. I shot this huge .50 cal sniper rifle at a gun range here in minneapolis. my buddy has a class 3 firearms license so we get to shoot fully automatic assault rifles and cool stuff. one was an AK47, and i shot an MP5 type thing, and an uzi. a lot of fun.

Planning to do the "F-Class" shooting competitions eventually. Just got reinfected with the shooting bug myself, not having had any firearms for a while. Using borrowed rifles for now, but looking at a novice F-class rig for the near future. One of my main problems right now is figuring out where my last shot went, hence the idea for the scope gear.
