I decided to go SLI for the first time. My motherboard is an M2N-SLI deluxe which has support for SLI (2 PCI-E slots)

When I bought the 260s, it said on the box how some graphic cards do not require the bridge. I set up everything and ran everest. It says

    nVidia SLI
    SLI Status: Supported, Enabled
    SLI GPUs: 2
    SLI Connector: Not Present

It also recognizes both video cards in everest. Should I even worry about an SLI connector?

I though you need the SLI bridge for SLI to work tho I could be wrong.

Instead of using Everest, you should check the NVidia control panel to determine if the SLI is functioning properly. You can also use GPU-Z to see if SLI enabled. Running a quality benchmark app like one of the 3dMark benches or FurMark should also tell you if SLI is working properly. Yes, it is true that the SLI bridge connector is not always required. I know some of the lower end NVidia cards (like the newer 8500GT's) do not need the bridge when used on newer motherboards, so it makes sense that you may not need one with a GTX260 SLI setup.

(I'm pretty sure that Everest is giving you correct information, but using NVidia's own utility is the best way to know for sure ;) )

BTW- I'm running a GTX260 myself and I'd be interested in what kind of performance increase you're getting from 2 260s in SLI. I'm seriously considering going with a quad-core CPU and a new SLI mobo and a 2nd 260....

I'll have to get 3dmark and test it out. I am very happy with my cards so far, I played Demigod and Fallout 3 on max settings with no lag.
