GeForce 7400LE - Any Info?

Hey,

I just ordered a PC that comes with a 7400 LE (last minute spec change from the ATI X600 by Dell), doe's anyone have any info on this card?

I can't find anything about it - everything on google seems to be about the 7300 LE or else its in french (the card's also not listed on the nVidea 7-series spec sheet).

Any specs or links would be appreciated.

well, I found the 7400, but not "LE" that is probably just some stripped down version they put in dells, it says teh bus is pci-e so you could probably upgrade to a GeForce GO 7800 sometime. It is a pretty crappy video card but better than onboard.It usews turbocache which hogs your memory, it doesn't have it's own video memory.

Actually - it's a PC, not a laptop.
And the Dell guy gave me the wrong info, it's a 7300 LE - Which is pretty crappy (64 bit mem bus). But yea at least its PCI express. Gotta wait for a 512Mb card to get cheap so I can see grass for miles in Oblivion.

 

that explains a lot... I would suggest the 7600gt if you can't afford a 7900gt, either card would run oblivion great.

 

yea, I can run it pretty well on my current system with an AGP X800GT now. Goes perfectly on 1024X468, high settings but grass and rocks pop up out of nowhere about 20 meters in front of you.

7900GT sounds hella good. I'll wait a bit for the price to catch up with my wages.
