GeForce FX5700 LE vs. GeForce FX5700

does anyone know what the difference between GeForce FX5700 LE and GeForce FX5700 are?

 

i could look up the specs for you... but simply put, the LE is the 'light edition" meaning is SUCKS in comparison.

the order goes

5700 Ultra
5700
5700 LE.

i wouldnt bother spending money on either the ultra or the LE, as one is overpriced, and the other is terrible.

 

so FX 5700 is the way to go? i dont have much money and the fx 5700's are in my price range

i think for $100 the fx5700 is definetly a nice choice.

 

Does OEM come with a fan? I know OEM doesnt come with the box and stuff, and it is a lot cheaper.

Is OEM bad when buying a video card?

With OEM i could get a better card too...

 

an oem comes with the fan. it comes in a box too it just doesn't have any of the cool software with it. i bought the leadtek 5700 ultra for 148 from newegg and it came with full version of farcry i think

 

Where can I get that price from?

 

its been varying a bit in price lately... as always. I bought an Aopen FX 5700 for $100 4 months back, and an Albatron fx 5700 for $107 a couple months ago.

OEM is the exact same card, just without the goodies. no one would ever in their right mind sell a card without a heatsink/fan because they cant guarentee the person buying it has any idea what it needs.

usually OEM is a bit cheaper, but thats because you're not baying for a warranty .

i do it all the time in things that I am knowingly going to void the warranty on anyway (processors, video cards), and optical drives, because i really dont care about the packaging for those.

What all do i need to make sure that it is compatable with my computer?

do my computers and the videos cards "chipset clock speed" and "memory clock speed" have to be the same?
