geforce mx200 help

Hi all. I have installed this 3d card on my pc. I know it's an older one, but...
anyway, I have an HP a305w, intel 2.7 GHz, 248MB RAM. I had this card installed once with no problems. But shortly before I reformatted my hard drive & again now on the new install of XP, I get little waves across the screen, barely visable, but there nonetheless. The screen every once in awhile goes black, then kicks back on. I'll sometimes get little....oddities around my mouse. Sometimes they're little pixels of color, other times a small square of distorted screen echoes (not sure how to explain the mouse things!).
Anyone have any ideas what's going on? It did it with the drivers I installed that came on the CD & I just installed the NOV.9th drivers. They seem to be better, but I still occasionally get the black screen & the wavy desktop. Haven't had it on long enough to notice the mouse thing.

can you try the card with a diff monitor ?

 

Yeah, I'll try that. Also, I just tried to run two games I have run good before, & during both splash screens, I get a bit of snow & specks on the screen, & then when the game gets going, all I get is a lockedup black screen & have to reboot.
