generic smartbook

I have a generic smartbook ( bought out of china) that I can't seem to get into.I forgot the password! It's been put away for a long time. Has no cd drive, and when it first comes on the only window you get asked for password. So I can't f12 to place new OS, so how do you get into it? Password resetter will not work either,by wau of usb; maybe external cd? Help!

 

Hi,
Boot into *SAFEMODE* (f8) and go to user accounts and remove/delete password from the account, then re-boot in normal mode you should be into your OS without the account asking for password.

iain.t, I can tell you from the start that it will not let me f8 at all ; so I'm downloading the program you advised of. From the looks of it, it'll be about three hours so when it downloads, I'll let you know what happens. prociate it
