Gentoo Linux

Hi,
I want to download a iso fille to completely install gentoo (without internet)
i have dvd's (4.7 GB) so there's probably (correct me if i'm wrong) enough room.

So:I would like a name of a .iso file containing the full install of gentoo on a ADM64 (place to download is also helpfull)

Are you a beginner to linux, if so i wouldn't recommend gentoo as its more of an advanced distro.

 

already had that site but thnx annyway
i know it's more advanced that's one of the resons i chose gentoo

 

Conversly I'd recommend Gentoo to beginners as it gives you a good understanding of your system before you get going. But that wasn't the question!

What I'd do is grab the LiveCD (minimal install)

Then download the stage3 file onto that CD as described in the manual:
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-amd64.xml?part=1&chap=5
Simply download the stage3 file and copy it to the DVD/CD. You might also want to grab a portage snapshot whilst your at it.
You can even put it onto a seperate CD, as I believe once you've loaded up the LiveCD kernel you can eject the CD (don't take my word for it, though)
The one rule for Gentoo is read the handbook - and read it well!
