Genuine XP pro

Bought a genuine xp pro disk put it in comp ...works fine ...but then I thought I would put it in my second machine but that is when I started to have problems. It ask to be actived by microsoft who say you can not have it on both comps...fine ...but now it will not allow me to use a different xp disk in even though went through bios to 1 st boot through cd because the first xp disk was load into comp it want to be activated by phone and I am fearful I might lose xp on my main comp

 

As long as you have two product keys you shouldn't have any problems.

 

it's not the disc that's the problem. If you are trying to use the same product key on both computers, you are going to run foul of Microsoft.

 

How can I get around the problem of formatting the second comp and putting another xp disk on
