Get All Image Sizes from a Website?

I have a somewhat odd thing I am trying to figure out if I can do or not. I am an online radio DJ and like to get free LEGAL music downloads (I know this because they are officially offered by the artists themselves on their official social/band websites). They are never shared with anyone else mind you.

I am also somewhat of a collector/scholar/archiver with music as well. I like to save these free legal downloads in an archive on my computer. One of the things I've noticed is that a lot of these sites that the artists will post to have multiple different sizes for the same image I'd like to save. Instead of having to browse through every page known to man to find all of these different sized images on one website it would be easier if I could just know what all the image sizes are that are provided on a website and use one of the images as a reference to get all the sizes. The problem is that it appears on some of these sites you can't simply just browse the library of images from a certain URL...you have to know what image sizes they have on there and how to get there. Considering they don't block people completely from accessing these image URLs I would assume this to not be doing something illegal, there is no malicious intent here. This is merely for archiving purposes and personal use.

Not sure if this will precisely apply to Software or not as I am wondering what I would need to find all image sizes made available from a website (for a specific image), be that software or some other means. What I'm wondering is, is there a way to find all the image sizes available for a website for a* particular image?

    To give you an example:
There is an artist by the name of Celldweller. His official Facebook URL is: https://www.facebook.com/celldweller .
Here is a post that he linked his fans to for a free mashup download that he did: https://www.facebook.com/celldweller/posts/271691082872560
It links to his official Soundcloud page for a free download: http://soundcloud.com/celldweller/celldweller-disposable-war

The link for the image on the Soundcloud page for that particular track is: https://i2.sndcdn.com/artworks-000013682083-54f59p-t200x200.jpg?5ffe3cd

Now with Soundcloud, I know all the image sizes they have on there because they list them on one of their sites: http://developers.soundcloud.com/docs/api/reference#tracks

Ctrl+F and look for the keyword artwork_url. Mouse hover over the "artwork_url" text and it will display all the sizes available for each image off the site.

What I'm wondering is, is there a way to find all image sizes for a single specific image (from one website) when a website does not provide you a list for all the image sizes?

    Thanks.

    Hi

Didn't think of that route Cipher, neat.

The option I was or will still post is and this adds to Firefox is the Downloadthemall add-on

Thanks, though I've tried those and can only get the images from the specific webpage I'm on with them...as opposed to getting all size versions of a particular image from the image server itself that they originate from. View Source in Internet Explorer has helped before when the site has code somewhere that mentions all the sizes and their locations, but not all sites seem to do that even in the Source code itself. Downthemall appears to do the same...it will let you select the images on that particular page but does not seem to be able to figure out what other sizes are available from the image server.

What image server are you speaking of?

It is entirely possible that the site owner doesn't allow access to all these image files.

Possibly...that is what I'm worried about. The image server is really just any arbitrary image server that was sourced on some music-related site...I'm talking about when you look at the URL location of an image and it being different from the main domain address...I assume those to be image servers. A good example is what I mentioned above with the soundcloud link...you go to the soundcloud page for that Celldweller song and the link for the image is: https://i2.sndcdn.com/artworks-000013682083-54f59p-t200x200.jpg?5ffe3cd ...no soundcloud.com anywhere so I assume i2.sndcdn.com to be their image server domain address.

I'm thinking that if you cannot see the images in the clear, or find their locations in source, then asking the site owner is the only other thing to do.

The example you have given may not be *their* image server, but one that they use. Like we use tinypic, etc...

Possibly. I think I'll ask them then. Thanks!
