Have reformatted the hardrive over the weekend and created .pst files from Microsoft Outlook and saved them in My Documents, then copied them to disk.

Now I have copied them back into My Documents and I cannot get them back into MO.

The message I get is that it is not a personal folders file.

I also created .dbx files from Outlook Express.

How do I get all these files back into Microsoft Outlook.

They contain Contact address and messages etc.

The most important one is the Contact email addresses which is a .pst file.

Many thanks if you can help... cheers

The .dbx files in Outlook express shouldn't be a problem.
Generally I just drag them into the store folder for the email files.
This can be found/altered by Clicking Tools>Options>Maintenance>Store Folder (You can change it from here to make it easier to access in future)
Are they called inbox.dbx, outbox.dbx etc?

As for the .pst file, right-click on the file and remove the "read-only" checkmark if there is one.
    Open Outlook,
Click File>Import and Export>Import from another Program
    Click next
Find and click Personal Folder File (.pst)
    Click next>Browse
Find the file, which is in My Documents
    Select Duplicate>next.
Click on your folder, including all subfolders.
Select where to place it, and click finish.

Yes they are called inbox.dbx but when I open outlook the inbox is empty..

all the other subfolders have their information in them.

HELP I really need the info I had in the inbox.

Have you imported the inbox.dbx file seperately into Outlook?
To test the file, I'm thinking you could right-click on the inbox.dbx file and choose Open with... and then select Outlook. At least that should give you access to the information in a pinch. Also then you'll know there's just a problem with the importing of the file, not the file itself.
