   but can you safely delete all the exe. files in your download folder,

   I guess so, I would if I was stuck for free space
   
   Don't delete any *MSI files that you've installed software from, they're usually needed to uninstall/upgrade.

   Me, I archive them on a USB stick just in case I want to install elsewhere. I also keep the latest version of flash because I go around to 5 computers and install monthly. It is easier to download once rather than 5 times.
   
   Also consider, if you like the version of the program and it gets removed from downloading, you might have a hard time finding it.
