get wrong website layout and color

I use IE by Yahoo and my wife uses Mozella.
some websites ,when I use them are layed out wrong and colors are wrong.
BUT on Mozella they are as the site should look.
What settings went wrong in IE (by Yahoo)

IE and Mozilla use different rendering engines. IE is by far the least standards compliant browser of the main browsers out there. Sites are making a shift to be more standards compliant and IE makes it difficult to make sites work in both.

 

i got to change...change scares me, but the more i read here about IE v's the others, the more im convinced that it would be a good idea. i actually havnt had a problem browser wise, which is way i keep putting it off.
