getting dvd's onto ipod

Well guys im new at the computer thing and was wondering how to get dvd's onto my ipod.

I just need a program to get them on it, and wondering whether i have to save the dvd's on my computer first.

i downloaded MobileVideo For ipod program from majorgeeks.com
it hasnt worked for me so maybe if anyone who uses that program see's this can you please explain maybe with some screenshots how to use it better than the programs vague help place does. Thanks

Thanks musksnipe for that program but to convert the dvd to ipod the program will cost 49.95 and i was hoping for a free one thanks anyways.
