Getting extensions in SWG off of the objects around me...

I recently upgraded my computer to Win XP. Before I did that I wiped my drive and installed XP Upgrade to a fresh drive. I installed a few things on my computer including SWG. While playing I have noticed that even if I am standing still there are these weird extensions that seem to flash off of anything around me. This happens at variable times. I posted this on the SWG tech forums and they suggested it could be the drivers I was using, an overheating vid card or a card going bad. It only seems to happen while playing SWG and not EQ2. I have checked the temp of the card by feeling, and it is warm to teh touch, but not to hot that I couldn't touch it. I have changed the drivers as well. Any idea as to what could cause this?
