    Hi!

First off, I read and ran everything from the Read and Run Me First page which I have bookmarked directly to go to that page if I have any issues, but I guess I failed to turn off my AV when I ran MGTools so now everything should be correct. I am using Win7, with BitDefender Total Security and the I/O errors started when I tried to install the newer version of Qbittorrent. Then it won't let me save items in my Libraries folders or even create a new folder in Libraries. I tried to run Malwarebytes which I have on my computer and it wouldn't let me run it - said something about I don't have permission - so I tried to remove it from my Control Panel, and it said I couldn't remove it because of some missing dll file so I tried to just reinstall it over the old one and I got the same message (sorry, I didn't write down the exact error as I didn't think I would need help). I even tried rebooting my machine and still got the same error message. I just closed my laptop, but left it sleeping, and the next day when I opened it back up, Malwarebytes was removed! I installed it again and it ran fine! I also made the big mistake of signing up for Big Fish games and I had a HELL of a time getting any games I purchased to properly load (turned off my BitDefender and then they loaded ok). I will no longer use Big Fish games and from now on will only BUY games since it's given me so much trouble (but I got free game and another game I wanted for only $2 - that's how they sucked me in!) I re-installed the older version of QBittorrent and the I/O errors and not being allowed to open new folders or save items in my Library folders went away. I haven't had any more I/O errors, but my defrag will not work. I press it and it does nothing. I even tried to just run defrag on my external HD and it does the same thing. I really think Big Fish screwed me up as well as downloading the newer version of QBittorent. Oh, I've also now purchased a VPN for when I download movies/files as my internet provider sent me a nasty email saying they'd revoke my internet service. I think I know just enough to get me into trouble, but not enough to avoid doing dumb things sometimes...

I've attached my log files. I did see Roguekiller showed a lot of PUP files. I also use a PAID version of Incredimail which I will NOT give up, but for some reason there were PUP files coming from my Incredimail and I think I know why. I downloaded a bunch of cute animations from their website which I rarely do. I have my own animations that I add or create myself and I will remove all of the ones I downloaded as I like my own creations better. I LOVE being able to add cutsie stuff to my emails - sorry, I'm a graphic artist and very expressive so I LOVE being able to do stuff w/the Incredimail. Someone from the general public forum said when I posted I wanted to keep Incredimail: "Well, I guess your issues will continue then! Incredimail is software scurvy and should be dumped. Its known to cause many issues with other processes running on your system apart from the PUP's and PUM's." He also said: "O2 - BHO: (no name) - MRI_DISABLED - (no file) is listed as bad." and he said that I needed to disable my AV which I guess I overlooked when I was reading the Read and Run Me First info.

Thanx a bunch as always! I'm sure you'll tell me to use Roguekiller to get rid of all those PUP and PUM files, but I'm wondering why my defrag doesn't work? It won't even open when I click on it. It does absolutely nothing.

    Please remove this in Hitman:
    Potential Unwanted Programs _________________________________________________

    HKU\S-1-5-21-1009334687-539450264-314055710-1000\Software\IM\ (Sweetpacks)

Reboot and rescan with Hitman, scan with ADWCleaner and also please do this:

Please download Zemana Malware Removal to your desktop and run it please.

It auto updates, and you click scan. After it's finished, click on the icon that looks like Cell phone strength bars. High-light the report (by date log was produced) and click on the "Open Report" icon. (looks like a folder). That notepad.txt can then be copied/pasted into another .txt doc and saved. Upload that, please.

Hi and thank you for responding! Hitman Pro kept telling me my trial license had expired (I've used it in the past) so I went online and found how to manually delete everything so's I could run it and get the trial period again. I deleted the IM\HKU file. Ran ADWCleaner and then Zemana. Attached is that file.

Thank you again and let me know if I should do anything else!

You didn't provide the ADWCleaner scan.

In the mean time....how are things running?

Looks good. What malware issues are you still having, if any?

Just those I/O errors at times when trying to do something that shouldn't give me an I/O error, like saving a file that I've downloaded or saving an image from the internet or even just trying to make a new folder in one of my Library folders, but it's been sporadic. And the defrag won't work. I go to my C drive, right click on properties, go to tools and when I hit defrag, it does nothing. Can't even defrag my external HD either using the same method. What would be causing this? I'm thinking I need a fresh, whole system install...

These are issues best taken up in the software forum.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Re-enable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have re-enabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now go to the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 or 10 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Oh and on the Read and Run Me First page, there is no step 4 about Defogger - just to let you know.
