    Hello,

I'm doing a group project in a Java class that involves making a card game. Our objective is to make the game multiplayer, that uses the internet to play over. I'm fairly fluent in PHP, and I would like to use it to help accomplish this.

The first problem I have right now is with Java getting to load an internet page. I'm going to have it load a PHP page and pass is various GET variables via the URL depending on what the user using the client does, then PHP will process that move and pass the results (via an HTML page) to all clients connected to that game.

I tried searching for something that could do that, and I came up with a Java FAQ at Sun's website that said that Java cannot connect to a computer over the internet unless that computer made the program's class, but I don't know what they mean by that. The method involved using a Socket class.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.
