Getting kicked from games

REcently I have been getting kicked from games. I start to play, and once I start loading a level, I get booted to my desktop. The sound keeps going, and when i try to get back into the game, the screen flickers, and im back at the desktop, adn the game closes itself shortly thereafter.

I had this problem with Raven Shield, so, I uninstalled it.
I am now having the problem with BF1942 Road to Rome.
It happens regardless if my system is overclocked or not.
Also, sometimes, it will work properly.

does anyone have any ideas as to what could potentially be the cause?

I am using the latest nforce drivers, and the 52.16 display drivers. I am also using nview to manage my dual monitors.

 

I highly suggest that you roll back to the 4x.xx series of detonator drivers.

 

what about your direct x version? Are you using the onboard nforce sound?
