getting mad lol

i just switched my case of my computer so i took out everything and put it into my new case and now my computer dose not detect either of my hard drives or my burner or my dvd rom


anyone know what the problem is and yes everything is pluged in right i have it set up exactly like my other one

 

this isn't exactly a "check your connections" type dealy you're trying to avoid hearing, but make sure your connections are on tight.

are they spinning up when you turn your computer on?

 

you plugged the power cables in, right? thats a killer

 

yes everything is in tight would it have to do with jumpers at all?

 

Well, not unless you've changed them. Did you reset the BIOS?

 

no i never reset the bios at all
it worked perfect then it was just a clean swap after that
but the hardst part was doing the mobo and making sure i go the power and reset right and thats all right and thats all i need too even see if things are working

 

hey i just tried it again but nuthing but i tried opeing my dvd burner and dvd rom too see if they would open up but they will not open up so i cant throw a disc in or anything is that a connection problem?

and there are power going to both of them i knwo that for sure

 

if there's a light on either of the dvd drives and it won't go away, then the cable could be on upside down. and is the hard drive spinning up or are the dvd drive lights coming on? if they are not, then there is no power going to them and could be the source of your problems.
