OK, ever since I went to Windows Live I get this now though some mails come through normally, my friend says he hasn't changed a thing and suggests maybe the mails are encrypted so you know his level of expertise. :rolleyes, he's on Yahoo. Any ideas? Thanks.

EDIT: Using latest FF, I'll check out IE just in case it has something to do with FF.

EDIT2: Same deal in IE. *sigh*

    Hi Augie,

"Pardon our appearance during construction We're still tweaking the AT&T Yahoo! Mail"

They have been tweaking yahoo mail for awhile now...one time I logged into my junk acct. and all of my IM contacts from another yahoo account were in a chat pane window, weird since the accounts are not linked in any way. But the tweaking has a way of changing your options w/o you knowing it.

I looked in yahoo options, can look and see if something changed re the yahoo tweaking.

Could try changing Mode in Mail Window>Options>General Preference>Composing E-mails

    Mode:
Check - Compose messages as color and graphics
(the other mode is plain text)

    Save (upper left hand corner)

Log out of yahoo, then log back in and see if that stops it. (sometimes it does not save changes) check if change saved.

Also if they're are using the Yahoo "new" mail tell them to switch back to the "classic" there is an option button on the mail page next to the sign in area. The new mail is still buggy IMO.

I've been noticing some strange things recently with Yahoo also, and not just in my email accounts.... I did notice that they were changing some things, but the above post puts me at ease. This explains why my wife couldn't erase her bulk mail one day. She had to check them all manually (mark them for deletion), then un-check one, and click Delete. This was the only way for 2 or 3 days to delete any emails, bulk or regular Inbox stuff. A major PITA when you get over 500 bulk mails daily and the Empty button isn't working. But know we know why this happened, and why it went back to normal... :D Thanks for the 'update'.
