I think you mean select mozilla as your default browser. You can do this in Win Xp by going to Start- All Programs and then clicking on 'Set Program access and defaults"

Welcome to MG Zooker!! I don't think you want to get rid of IE6. I think you have to have it to get Windows updates and such. Neo's post would serve your best interest in making Mozilla your default browser. :D

You cannot get rid of IE, just install Mozilla and you can use it in place of IE. WHen you start it up it will offer to be your default browser, just choose Yes.

If IE is still persistant and you have problems with links, try this freeware program. Set Browser 1.4. It is simple to use.

By the way, Mozilla .9 (Firefox) does not have an e-mail client. You need Thunderbird which is a stand alone e-mail client and replaces OE6, or the Mozilla 1.7 package. Neither of the e-mail programs will allow you to check Hotmail accounts.

you will want to leave ie6 off to the side because alot of programs will only use ei6 to update thru and i have seen some web sites that will only let you log on with ie6

I use Mozilla for absolutely everything, including checking my Hotmail. :p

It will not work with MSN Chat no matter what. Or most MSN services like Gaming Zone, etc. Hotmail will work.

I was talking about the e-mail client in Mozilla and Thunderbird. Not checking them via the webmail in the browser. That works fine for me as well.
