I tried uninstalling Mcafee from my Dell, but will not get rid of all of it. Any help?

By not getting rid of it ALL, what exactly do you mean? The files in your program files folder? Documents and Stettings\*user* folders? Registry? Please post your problem back a little more specifically and I'm sure someone on here will be able to help :)

The same thing with me. It finally wore me down and I renewed. Mad at myself. Won't do it again next time!

    Hi guys,

Don't ever feel pressured into renewing a software product that you might feel is overpriced or inneffective just because they make it hard to uninstall...(totally unprofessional) theres always a way to get rid of the software, so make a post here and im sure someone will be more then happy to get rid of it for you!

I tried to uninstall with the add/remove in control panel but would not let me do it without uninstalling all the files that went with it, mostly mcagent, would not even delete. I'm used to Mcafee but could have gone a cheaper route. I got impatient and went ahead and renewed, will not do it next time. Still I would like to get an anwer on how to get rid of all the files. Thanks for all the help.

If you hving trouble removing mcagent, i would make sure first of all its not starting at system boot (im sure it is as its part of a anti-virus) you may be able to end the process in task manager. Also starting in safe mode might enable you to remove the McAfee files...If you remove these files be sure to cleanyour registry entries referring to them, you could use a registry cleaner, also could use regedit and search for mcafee. McAfee probably has files in several places on your drive, not just program files, make sure to check documents & settings, actually a search for mcafee would probably be best...hope this helps, little to tired for an actual coherent post right now...lol
