I have AVG installed as an anti-virus, but apparently it doesn't do a good job since during scan it detects a dozen viruses but can't fix them or anything. So I was like "bah, the viruses probably do no harm" so I let it go. But now, I have this virus that puts all my folders in read-only mode. Is there anything I can do to fix this? install another ant-virus? please help
    thx

No anti-virus will detect all threats or have a means of fixing them.....keeping your virus definitions up to date is a must...
In the meantime, please go to the Malware section and do the Read and RUn First sticky.
