hi i bought this 1 month agow, instaled it, and played having no problems, then after 1 weeks or so it started to use the vpu recovery and screen would go freeze and go black for 10 sec and game recovers. after 2-3 times it dose that over 30 mins playing it freezes up and i have to restart the pc,.

some days its better than others, and it only seems to be happning when i raid "use more gfx power" its a silent card whit heat pipes and temp get to about 85c when i play and 50c ish when just doign stuff, i have not ever had a error when not playing.

and the bluescreen error i get when vpu recovery is not on, is called infinite loop.

my psu is a 350 atx noname one.
    amd 64x2 4400+
    2 gig ram
    500 gb hd

all grafiks driver have been installed 2 times whit a complete wipe of old, i used the method i found on this site, where i uninstall ccc then uses windows wiper and wipe the rest if any, then restart and use driver sweper in safe mode to clean rest.

re start and re install latest driver.

it wont work whit the 9.12 driver and i thinke things got really wrong after i updated the drivers to 9.12 , but before that i would stil get the odd vpu recovery once or 2 in a sessoin but now its a restart of the pc pr hour when gaming hard. "doing 10-25 man dungeon runs, so i used the 9.11 so the catalyst center would work

Sounds like a possible dieing video card. It could also be overheating.

Do you have the same problems with the older driver of your pc freezing up?

cant remember as i only had this for like 3 weeks.
but when i try i think i remember it working fine for 1 weeek, but there i had lagg in game and card prob not puched hard,
i then dl the update the prob started more than before i know that , butt the lagg was gone, i have tried to reroll to the driver from the disk that came whit the card but same, it still freezes up,. and do the infinite loop. thing "BSOD saying something about an ATI2dvag infinite loop then computer shuts down "

sould it be not able to handle 85c as a passive card..?

85c is ok but it's a litter hotter then I'd like.

That sounds hot to me. I have an Ati 4850 that has played WoW, and other more intensive games, on ultra and very high settings for a while now and my pc goes no higher than 45c.

How is your pc for cleanliness? Blow out your dust every few months?

personally it also sounds to me like your PSU is underpowered for your system to me.

How are your fans running? Do any of them sound funny? Maybe one not running?

My pc has similar but not exactly the same specs so i just figured id post some ideas for ya.

its a passive cooled gfx no cooler on it, yes i cleean out once in a while, and no funny soulds for the pc, fans sounds oki and both running.

im think ill buy a 400wattt crosshair, but what i dont understand is how if it underpowerd its makeing my gfx driver do bd things as a result of lacking power.
ohh and my card is a pci x 16 then one whitout extra power to the card, it get all it need from the pci slot, or"all that are avalible :)"

its running 48c at surfing., i may have to install a extra fan, but u have had time when i just log in and i have the error after 5 min.
and i have never had a faliure other than when i have played wow, i have surfed for hours after a vpu recovery and nothing happens works fine there.

Does your video card need extremal power or no? Like does your video card require a power plug?

no its the pci x 16 that only get its power from the pci slot , so no extra power plug to insert
