OKay...this is probably a silly question, but anyway, I bought a Nvidia GeForce 6600 GT OC 256 MB DDR SDRAM GFX Card, but it is PCI Express. And I do not have any PCI Express slots, or even AGP slots... Just 3 pci slots... Yeah, you guys can laugh... I stupidly bought a Dimension 3000 with a 3.0 GHz HT processor... I should have just did the next step up computer and I would have been fine... But, oh well... So my main question is it possible to use this GFX card with a connector or can I buy an extra motherboard piece with a PCI Express slot? Right now I have a GeForce FX 5500 OC DDR SDRAM GFX Card... It's okay... but I know what I could have... So any help is appreciated...

so...u dont have an AGP nor PCI-E...so how is ur FX5500 connected? is it on ur mobo? sounds to me like u should get a new mobo... BUT be careful and make sure it will work with ur other hardware and make sure u have enough power for the new gfx card which needs min 300W

Yeah... The GFX Card is just a PCI interface... So I take it there aren't any motherboard pieces or accessories that I might be able to find, huh... Well I guess a new motherboard is the only option... How do I find out what type of motherboard my cpu is... I am attaching two photos of what CPU-Z said... I just don't understand what it means... You see I have someone who will put the thing together for me... I just wanna know for myslef what it is...

never heard of any "pieces or accessories" for what u need....
it looks like u will need a mobo that supports a p4 Prescott 3GHz HT with a 478 socket.. make sure that ur new mobo will be compatible with the new graphics card and of course all the rest

Return it and get an AGP card.

check your RAM and hard drive too. your RAM, graphics card, hard drive, and CPU all need to be checked to make sure they'll be compatible with whatever motherboard youre going to get.
