 I am looking for a way to ghost an internal hard drive to an external USB hard drive through DOS using a Norton Ghost Boot Disk(s). Does anyone have an idea how this can be done?
So far all I came up with is a couple of error messages.

I don't think Norton Ghost recognizes any disks other than IDE, SATA or SCSI. Not even sure about SATA either.

Can you take the drive out of the USB enclosure, plug it in, Ghost it and then put it back?

no its a regular external HD much like Maxtor's One Push and Norton will "Ghost" the internal HD to the external HD if I install the program first and then use the backup part of the program which works fine but it doesn't work using a Ghost bootdisk. What I want to do is use it to update a bunch of laptops that use the same programs and settings without having to load each one individually.
